Configure data attributes

Data attributes provide insight into all attributes in Unison and their object/field mappings for a corresponding data source. You can add and edit attributes from this screen.

Unison objects

Unison's data model includes the following objects:

Add a custom attribute

Any attribute you add to Unison must have a corresponding data source and object. Ensure your connection with the data source is configured before adding a new attribute. 

  1. In Unison, click Settings from the left nav.
  2. Click Data Attributes
    All attributes in Unison are displayed in the list. You can sort attributes by name, object, data type, key, and Unison attribute type (system or custom).
  3. Click Add Attribute.
  4. Within the Add Attribute window, set the following properties:
    • Name: Display name of attribute displayed in Unison
    • Description: Additional context for the attribute
    • Key: System name of the attribute (no spaces allowed)
    • Object: Choose the Unison object for this attribute. 
  5. From within the Integration Sources section, click Add Source.
  6. Choose the source and source field.
  7. Click Create Field Map.

    The attribute is available to use within Unison.
