Connect Copper to bring selected CRM data into Unison for account health analysis and customer workflows. Once connected, you can choose which records to import and map Copper fields to the corresponding fields in Unison.

The Copper integration imports the following objects:

• Companies as Accounts
• People as Users
• Opportunities as Opportunities

The setup in this article controls which Copper records are imported into Unison. The authorized connection can also support Unison actions that create or update Copper records when those actions are configured.

Before you connect Copper

• Use a Copper account that can access all Companies, People, Opportunities, and fields you want to import. Copper applies the authorizing user's Team Permissions to API access. For complete coverage, authorize the connection with a Copper admin account.
• You do not need to create or copy a Copper API key. Unison redirects you to Copper to sign in and authorize the connection.
• Copper currently provides one OAuth permission scope, developer/v1/all. It permits reading and modifying records available to the authorizing user, so Copper may describe the request as full access.
• You can review or revoke the connection in Copper under Settings > Integrations > Active Integrations.

Add a Copper connector

1. In Unison, click Settings from the left navigation.
2. Click Integrations.
3. Click Add a Connection.
4. Locate Copper, and click Connect.
5. Enter a name and description that identify the Copper environment you are connecting, such as Acme Copper Production.
6. Continue to authentication.
7. Sign in to Copper and authorize Unison to access your CRM data.
8. When you return to Unison, continue to Define Data to Pull.

Configure the Copper integration

Use the setup steps to select the Copper records you want in Unison and map the fields required for analysis.

1. Define the Accounts to pull

1. In Define Data to Pull, open the Companies section.
2. Choose a Copper Company field and the matching values that identify the Accounts you want to import. You can also use a custom Copper filter when you need more precise selection rules.
3. Click Preview Data to review the matching Companies before you continue.
4. In the Users section, keep the default option to import People associated with the synced Accounts. Add a custom Copper filter if you need to narrow the People that are imported.
5. To import Opportunities, turn on Opportunities to Sync. Keep the default option to import all Opportunities, or add a custom Copper filter to narrow the records.
6. Click Next: Map Fields.

2. Map incoming fields

In Map Key Fields, review the incoming field mappings for Accounts, Users, and Opportunities. Map any additional standard or custom Copper fields that your team needs in Unison.

Unison provides default mappings for the following fields:

• Accounts: ID and name
• Users: ID, name, first name, last name, and primary email
• Opportunities: ID, name, status, monetary value, close date, win probability, company, and pipeline stage

When the mappings are ready, continue to finish the setup.

3. Start the import

After the Copper import starts, Unison checks for updates every 30 minutes. The initial import can take longer than later syncs because Unison is bringing in the selected records and their mapped fields for the first time.

Manage the Copper connection

1. In Unison, go to Settings > Integrations.
2. Open the connected Copper data source.
3. Use Connection Settings to review the connection, pause syncing, or reconnect Copper.
4. Use Account Sync Rules to change which Companies, People, or Opportunities are imported.
5. Use Incoming Fields to update field mappings.
6. If available, use Job History to review recent sync activity.

Changing a filter or pausing the connection affects future imports. It does not remove Copper data that is already in Unison.

A: After the import is started, Unison checks Copper for updates every 30 minutes.

A: No. The Copper integration imports data into Unison and does not write changes back to Copper.
