Who can use this feature?
- Unison admins can create and manage segments.
Open a saved segment to review its members, update its details or criteria, organize it in a folder, or delete it when you no longer need it.
Review segment members
- Go to Operations > Segments.
- Find the segment and select Open.
- Review the total members and the records in the Members table.
- Use Search to find a record. For Account segments, you can also select Filter to narrow the table.
- Select Table options > Manage Columns to show, hide, or reset the columns in the table.
Update the name or purpose
To rename a segment quickly:
- Open the segment.
- Select the segment name at the top of the page and enter a new name.
- Press Enter or select anywhere outside the name field to save it.
To update the name and purpose together:
- Open the segment and select Segment actions > Edit.
- Update the Segment Name or Purpose.
- Select Save Changes.
Update segment criteria
- Open the segment and select Edit Criteria.
- Add, remove, or update rules and groups.
- Select Preview Changes.
- Review the preview, then select Save Changes.
Saved segment membership is reevaluated hourly. A record that changed recently can take up to an hour to appear in or leave the member table.
Organize segments with folders
To create a folder:
- Go to Operations > Segments.
- Select New > New Folder.
- Enter a name and create the folder.
To move one segment:
- Select More actions for the segment.
- Select Move to folder, then choose the destination.
To move several segments at once:
- Select More actions > Bulk changes.
- Select the segments you want to move.
- Select Move to folder, then choose the destination.
After you select a segment, use Move to folder in the bulk action bar.
Delete a segment
- Open the segment and select Segment actions > Delete.
- Enter DELETE to confirm.
- Select Delete.
FAQs
Question: Why do I not see the Filter option for a segment?
Answer: Additional member table filters are available for Account segments. Use Search to find records in other segment types.
Question: Do member table filters change who belongs to the segment?
Answer: No. Search, filters, and column choices only change the table you are viewing. Update the segment criteria to change membership.
